ASCII data query and parser

ASCII data query and parser module allows to extract data packets from the common dataflow. Then this module splits this data packet to variables, that can be used in data filter or data export modules. The module can use various extract methods for each variable (fixed position, delimited value, regular expression).

MODBUS RTU

MODBUS RTU module supports two modes:

Data query - transmits queries or commands out the serial port to control or query your instruments directly;
Data parsers - advanced data parser that allows you to parse, filter and format more complex data from more sophisticated devices. Some of the advanced features of the parser are the ability to work with raw binary or hex data;

MODBUS TCP

Same as the module above, but works with MODBUS TCP protocol.

Data parser module for ADAM, ICP-CON and NuDAM devices

It is the data query and parser module makes it possible to read and process the current values from various DAQ modules. The data parser module can check the checksum of data packets and convert data packets into variables. You can later use these variables in data export modules.

RFC3164 (syslog protocol) data parser

This module allows to parse syslog protcol messages (RFC3164) to a parser variables and you can export these variables to database, Excel, file etc.

The filter module "Expressions" for Advanced TCP/IP Data Logger is an interpreter for quick and easy evaluation of math, string or logical expressions.

Aggregator

The filter module "Aggregator" for Advanced TCP/IP Data Logger is an additional module that collecting data from several different parsed data records into one common data record.

Data export plugins

SQL Database Professional

This data export module for Advanced TCP/IP Data Logger is used for recording/saving variables the parser receives and extracts from the stream of bytes into SQL-compatible databases, such as SQLBase, Oracle, Microsoft SQLServer, Sybase, DB2, Informix, Interbase, Firebird, MySQL, PostgreSQL.

To access databases, the direct driver access methods provided by the developer of the corresponding database are used. It makes it possible to reduce system requirements, lower the traffic between database clients and servers, and, what is more important, use features unique for every database (for example, stored procedures in Microsoft SQLServer or Oracle).

ODBC database

This module allows to export parsed variables to any ODBC compatible database.

Direct Excel Connection

Data export module "Direct Excel Connection" is exporting parser variables to columns or rows of a Microsoft Excel document, without use of additional requirements and technologies (DDE,ODBC and others), using the method of direct access to Microsoft Excel (via OLE).

Send keystrokes

Data export module "Send keystrokes" is sending values of parser variables to edit fields or windows of another Window's application.

DDE Server

Latest version: 3.2.0 build 1. July 11, 2008.

Data export module "DDE server" for Advanced TCP/IP Data Logger is exporting data via DDE. This module acts as a DDE server, so other applications can connect via DDE to this server and fetch values of parser variables.

Local (desktop) database

Data export module "Local database" for Advanced TCP/IP Data Logger represents a set of tools for exporting any parsed serial data to different popular formats, such as: Microsoft Excel, RTF, HTML, CSV, DIFF, SYLK, Plain text, Windows Clipboard, XML, DBF, PDF, Lotus 1-2-3 and Quttro format. During the export process none of the mechanisms of cooperation between applications in Microsoft Windows environment (DDE, OLE) is used, which ensures an extremely high speed of work.

Events handling plugins

Events notification

This additional plugin is used to send messages about events generated by Advanced TCP/IP Data Logger. Once an event occurs (for example: "Port opened" or "Configuration changed"), the plugin creates a text message using the specified template and sends a notification. The form of the notification depends on the plugin settings.

Internet sharing

Latest version: 3.2.0 build 2. July 11, 2008.

This additional plugin for Advanced TCP/IP Data Logger is intended for the bytes received by Advanced TCP/IP Data Logger and parsed from a data stream by the parser send through the Internet via the SMTP, FTP, SFTP and HTTP (HTTPS) protocols. Using this plugin, you can send the data received from the port via e-mail, to a FTP server or any other target in the Internet.
