LG Aria Soho SMDR setup and CDR format

This page shows how to get call records out of the LG Aria Soho into Advanced PBX Data Logger: the connection settings, the parser to select and the 12 fields the logger extracts for reports or a database. The settings apply to our logger; other call accounting software may expect a different configuration.

Configuring the PBX

1. Open the "LDK PCADMIN" utility and connect to your PBX.
2. Switch to "Search" tab, type PGM174, open and change the RS232 port settings as shown below.

3. Switch to "Search" tab, type PGM177, open and change the SMDR settings as shown below.

5. PGM142/16: (SMDR Print Enable) - enable SMDR for each line.
6. PGM141/5: (CO Line Type). Should be = CO. (If this parameter = PBX then you should define code in PGM172).
7. PGM175 (Info/On-line SMDR) - set to COM1 or TELNET1 (if LAN card exists)
8. Do not forget to save all changes.

Record format notes

• The manual's own SMDR sample records use a more verbose layout than the page's sample: a station/CO/time/start/DIAL-CLI-CPN table with an R/G/H status prefix marking how a lost or forwarded call was ringing/held, e.g. 'R RING 00:05' for a normal ring.

Configuring a COM port

The COM port number should match the number in your system. You can check the correct port number in Devices Manager → Ports.

1. Add a new configuration with the RS232 data source (if you didn't it before).

2. Select the COM port and configure the communication settings for your PBX corresponding to your PBX settings.

LG programming software

LG LDK and Aria SOHO systems are programmed with the PC Admin application (LDK PC Admin), which comes from LG, Ericsson-LG or your dealer, not from AGG Software. The SMDR settings on this page are made there; PBX Data Logger receives the records they switch on.

Reports and a database

Once records arrive, the logger writes them to a text file or to any ODBC database in real time, or hands them to the PBX Reports utility for manual, scheduled and e-mailed reports with a built-in web server. See exporting call log data to a database for the database setup.
