Siemens Hipath-3700 SMDR setup and CDR format

This page shows how to get call records out of the Siemens Hipath-3700 into Advanced PBX Data Logger: the connection settings, the parser to select and the 12 fields the logger extracts for reports or a database. The settings apply to our logger; other call accounting software may expect a different configuration.

This information is applicable for Siemens Hipath 3000, Siemens Hipath 3350, Siemens Hipath 3500 and Siemens Hipath 3750.

Default parameters for serial communication: 9600-8-N-1 with hardware flow control.

Configure your PBX using the programming software, like HiPath 3000 Manager.

Change LAN settings (fig. 3):
IP address: 192.168.1.1 (IP address of your computer with Advanced PBX Data Logger)
TCP port: 1080 (recommended)

Configure our software to the TCP server mode (fig. 4). Please, note that you should specify the same IP address and port as in the LAN settings. 0.0.0.0 means that the program will listen on all available network interfaces.

Configuring a COM port

The COM port number should match the number in your system. You can check the correct port number in Devices Manager → Ports.

1. Add a new configuration with the RS232 data source (if you didn't it before).

2. Select the COM port and configure the communication settings for your PBX corresponding to your PBX settings.

Siemens programming software

Siemens HiPath 3000 systems (3350, 3500, 3550, 3700, 3750, 3800) are programmed with HiPath 3000 Manager E, which comes from Siemens, Unify or your dealer, not from AGG Software. Call data recording is switched on there; PBX Data Logger receives the records.

Reads Siemens Hipath-3700 records. The parser is built in - 13 fields extracted.

Reports and a database

Once records arrive, the logger writes them to a text file or to any ODBC database in real time, or hands them to the PBX Reports utility for manual, scheduled and e-mailed reports with a built-in web server. See exporting call log data to a database for the database setup.
