Ericsson MD110 CDR formats and setup

This page covers the Ericsson Ericsson MD110 (FORM2 ASB 501), Ericsson MD110 Standard and Ericsson MD110 variants in Advanced PBX Data Logger. Each section gives the connection settings, the parser to select and the fields the logger extracts for reports or a database; where the setup steps are the same for every variant they are given once. The settings apply to our logger; other call accounting software may expect a different configuration.

Ericsson MD110 (FORM2 ASB 501)

Parser: Ericsson MD110 (FORM2 ASB 501)
Connection: LAN. The PBX sends records to the logger PC; the logger listens on TCP port 3000. Port 3000.
Fields extracted: 13

Capturing CIL data over Ethernet

IOEQI:IODEV=CIL-ETH,EQU=1-0-60-04,TYPE=NETWORK,USAGE=OUT;
IONCI:IODEV=CIL-ETH,USER=CIL-1,IP=192.168.1.100,RPORT=3000;
CLDFI:FILE=SMDR,IODEV=CIL-ETH,USER=CIL-0,PRIO=A;
CLOHI:FILE=SMDR,FORM=2,DMPSIZ=2,DISCR=0,LOGABN=NO,HRTBT=NO,LOGFAL=0;
CLTGI;

Note: you must replace the IP address in the IONCI command with the IP address of your server where Advanced PBX Data Logger is installed. The MD110 will output CIL (Call Information Logging) data to the port 3000.

Settings from the manufacturer's documentation

Taken from Ericsson MD110 FORM2 ASB 501. Values are those stated in the documentation; confirm them against your firmware release.

SettingDocumented value
SMDR TCP portMD110 CIL-over-Ethernet output uses RPORT=3000 in the IONCI command, matching the page's port 3000.

Switching SMDR output on, as documented

  1. Define the CIL-ETH network I/O device (IOEQI), bind it to the SMDR CIL file with CLDFI, then set FORM=2 in CLOHI before starting output with CLTGI.

Record format notes

  • The ASB 501 standard format record is fixed-width, e.g. End date at bytes 3-6, End time at 7-10, Call duration time at 12-16, Condition code at 23-24, Dialled number at 37-56, Calling number at 58-67.
  • One-, two- and three-character condition codes classify each call, e.g. (J) Internal call, (I) Incoming call or tandem call, (M) Least cost routing, (T) Transferred call, (NT) dialled party not equal to answering party, (CI) abandoned non-DISA call.

Connecting the logger

Add a data source in PBX Data Logger that matches the interface named in the section for your variant (RS232, TCP client, TCP server or FTP), then open Modules → Query Parse Filter → Data query, click Setup and select the parser named there.

Reads Ericsson MD110 records. Parsers for all 3 models on this page are built in.

Reports and a database

Once records arrive, the logger writes them to a text file or to any ODBC database in real time, or hands them to the PBX Reports utility for manual, scheduled and e-mailed reports with a built-in web server. See exporting call log data to a database for the database setup.
