Panasonic KX-TDA30, TDA100, TDA200, TDA600 SMDR setup

Switching SMDR output on, as documented

1. Program [804] SMDR Outgoing Call Printing to control whether outgoing trunk calls are logged (COS programming is also required).
2. Program [805] SMDR Incoming Call Printing to control whether incoming trunk calls are logged.
3. Set SMDR Page Length [802] and Skip Perforation [803] to match the printer paper size; page length must be at least four lines longer than skip perforation.

Record format notes

• Condition Code (CD) field values beyond TR (Transfer) shown in the page's samples: CL = Collect call, FW = FWD to trunk, D0 = call via DISA or TIE line, RM = Remote maintenance (modem), NA = Not answered call, RC = Received call, AN = Answered call.
• Dial Number field: max 24 digits (0-9, comma, #); no Flash or Pause can be displayed; a hidden digit is replaced by *, which stays with the call even across a transfer; format 2 prefixes an incoming call's number with 'I'.
• A call interrupted by a manual Flash/Recall/EFA signal, or a trunk-to-trunk call via Transfer/FWD/DISA, is logged as two separate SMDR records (one 'incoming call' and one 'outgoing call').
• SMDR data survives a PBX reset, but a call that is in progress when the PBX is reset is not recorded at all.
• The date order is a programmable option with four choices: month/day/year, day/month/year, year/month/day, or year/day/month.

Printing Out SMDR Using LAN Port

Systems Affected: KX-TDE 100/200/600, and KX-NCP 500/1000

1. Go to 11.1 Maintenance → Main.
2. Set Port to LAN.
3. Under Print Information select which items you would like to display in the SMDR Printout.
3.1 Date format: MM-DD-YY.
3.2 Time format: 24H.

4. Click on SMDR Options tab.
5. Note the default SMDR Port Number and Password. (These can be changed at your own discretion, but for this document we will use the default settings.)

6. Configure our software to send password to the PBX.

By default, the Panasonic NCP/TDE system requires a username/password (default: SMDR/PCCSMDR) to connect to the TCP/IP feed.

You must activate the corresponding data query plugin, click the "Setup" button and specify the password:

Note: this feature is available in the Trial, Professional and Enterprise versions only.

Activating SMDR records for all calls

On the "SMDR options" page just enable condition codes to enable call logging for all stages "RC" and "AN". "RC" stands for received and "AN" for answered.

Connecting the logger

Add a data source in PBX Data Logger that matches the interface named in the section for your variant (RS232, TCP client, TCP server or FTP), then open Modules → Query Parse Filter → Data query, click Setup and select the parser named there.

Panasonic programming software

Panasonic KX-TDA, KX-TDE and KX-NCP systems are programmed with the Panasonic Maintenance Console (also called Unified PC Maintenance Console). It comes from Panasonic or your dealer, not from AGG Software. The SMDR settings on this page are made there; PBX Data Logger receives the records the console switches on.

Reports and a database

Once records arrive, the logger writes them to a text file or to any ODBC database in real time, or hands them to the PBX Reports utility for manual, scheduled and e-mailed reports with a built-in web server. See exporting call log data to a database for the database setup.
